Odyssey^® Electrophoresis Products

LICORbio now offers several electrophoresis products to support your lab’s various workflows. Our products are ideal for running EMSA and gel shift assays, protein gels, nucleic acid gels, in-gel Westerns, fluorescent Western blots, and chemiluminescent Western blots.

Odyssey Mini Gels

Odyssey Mini Gels are pre-cast polyacrylamide gels designed to separate a wide range of protein sizes via PAGE and SDS-PAGE. Each box contains 10 pre-cast gels.

Our gels feature larger well volumes for easier sample loading and are cast in a neutral pH buffer to increase gel stability. They also run at neutral pH, which minimizes protein modification compared to Tris-glycine gels.

Odyssey Mini Gels are available in several gradients with 10, 12, or 15 numbered wells and have a shelf life of up to 6 months at room temperature or 12 months at 2–8°C.

Odyssey Transfer Buffer Powder

Odyssey Transfer Buffer Powder is formulated for transferring Odyssey Mini Gels and similar bis-tris gels to membranes following PAGE and SDS-PAGE. Each box includes 10 individual packs of powder. Reconstitute each pack with 900 ml deionized water, then add 100mL of either methanol or ethanol to make 1X transfer buffer. Do not use acid or base to adjust the pH.

Odyssey Running Buffer Powders

Odyssey MES SDS Running Buffer Powder is formulated for running Odyssey Mini Gels and similar bis-tris gels. This buffer is ideal for separating small to mid-sized proteins. For separation of mid- to large-sized proteins, we recommend using Odyssey Tris-MOPS SDS Running Buffer Powder instead.

Each box includes 5 individual packs of running buffer powder. Reconstitute each pack with 1000 ml deionized water to make 1X running buffer. Do not use acid or base to adjust the pH.
