Options

General

The General tab provides options for modifying the number format in Analysis tables.

• Number format: Specifies digits to display for quantification values in Analysis tables.
• Units: Sets English or metric for PDF export and image export.

Extras

These extras will help you move quickly through your workflow and will help you keep your data organized and consistent.

Accelerator Keys

Enter

Moves to the next page (you’ll be warned to save changes if there are any).

CTRL + Space

With your cursor in a text field, pressing CTRL + Space will show you the autocomplete options for that field based on data you input previously.

Tab

Press tab to jump to the next field on page.

ESC

With a boundary selected, pressing ESC will cancel the selection.

Arrow Keys

• On Define lanes and Quantify bands pages, you can use arrow keys to move lane and band rectangles.

• On the Add lane details page, you can use arrow keys to navigate between fields.

Autocomplete Text

Autocomplete text is available for many fields in Empiria Studio. The autocomplete options are based on information you entered previously for similar fields.

Use autocomplete text to hasten data entry and keep text consistent across similar Experiments.

Select autocomplete text

If you are entering information in a field where autocomplete options are available (based on the text you're typing), you can click to select the autocomplete option you want to use.

You can also press the Down Arrow until the option you want is selected, then press Enter.

Remove autocomplete text

If you are entering text in a field and you notice an autocomplete option that is no longer useful, you can remove it by clicking next to the unneeded option. Once an autocomplete entry is removed, it will no longer be available in Empiria Studio.
