Tools menu

Tools are common utilities within the software that serve to assist with configuration or troubleshooting issues. Four items are available: Leak Test, SDI-12 Console, Firmware Updates, and Manual Control.

Leak test

The leak tests is a program that evaluates any pneumatics for leaks. It provides a System Leak Test for general evaluation and a Component Leak Test for more specific evaluations. Details are in Performing the leak tests.

SDI-12 console

The SDI-12 console allows you to configure SDI-12 devices, such as the Stevens HydraProbe or other devices. See Using the SDI-12 console.

Firmware updates

Here, you can request the latest firmware directly from the interface. When the page loads, the LI-8250 checks to see if it has the latest firmware and gives you the option to download the updater to your computer.

After checking, the system will inform you of any available updates for the multiplexer, extension manifolds, and chambers in the system.

Manual control

Manual controls allow you to test and observe a variety of operating parameters without waiting for a program.

From this page you can turn the LI-8250 Multiplexer pump on and off or reset the pump hours after a pump replacement. You can also open and close individual chambers.
