This document describes mounting hardware that is used to install a sonic anemometer and the LI-7500A/RS/DS, LI-7200/RS, and LI-7700 gas analyzers LI-COR eddy covariance system. A typical installation is to a 3.3 cm (1.315 inch) outside diameter (OD) cross arm. Dimensions given refer to Iron Pipe Size (IPS) standards and will differ from the measured dimensions.

Set screws should be tightened to 22 N•m (16 ft•lbs). If no torque wrench is available, tighten each set screw until it contacts the pipe, then one more full revolution for aluminum pipe, or ¼ revolution for stainless steel. Use a 5/32" hex key for all the fittings except the ¾" × 1" crossover fitting (7900-342), which uses a 3/16" hex key.
Mounting kits
Mounting hardware kits are available for gas analyzers and a variety of sonic anemometers.
Gas analyzer mounting kit
The gas analyzer mounting kit is for mounting an LI-7500A/RS/DS to a tripod cross-arm. For the LI-7200/RS, use the mounting kit plus one 56 cm riser bar (9879-046) and crossover fitting (7900-346) to support the intake tube.

Gill WindMaster/Pro anemometer mounting kit
To mount the WindMaster/Pro and R3, use a ¾" × 1" cross-over fitting (7900-342) and anemometer mounting post (900-11242). The mounting post is included with WindMaster/Pro anemometers purchased from LI-COR. The cross-over fitting is available seperately.

Mount the RM Young 81000, 81000V, 81000RE, or 81000VRE sonic anemometer with the RM Young mounting kit (7900-332).
