Power Converters

Two charge controllers are available, both of which serve to reduce the incoming voltage from 24 VDC to 12 VDC. This makes it possible to power the Biomet System from a 24 VDC solar power supply. The charge controllers are:

• TDK-Lambda DC-DC Converter: Use this if you have a 24 VDC power supply. See Overview of the TDK-Lambda DC-DC Converter for details.
• LI-COR 7900-127 DC-to-DC converter and charge controller: Use this if you have a 24 VDC power supply and a backup battery for the biomet system. See Overview of the 7900-127 Charge Controller.
